Photographing a 1 year old is sort of like chasing a bullet shot out of a gun. Pose? Yup! You can pose them for 30 seconds or less, and nothing holds their attention span beyond a minute at best. I shot 200 images to get what I deemed a successful hour shoot.
Saying “cheese” as mommy instructed.
Cute, calm, awww moment…. right. I snapped. She immediately demanded to get down and headed for the door at a dead run. Why? Because she could. It was there to explore. I was exhausted, but driving off after the shoot I was smiling as I thought over the shoot. Do it again in a heartbeat!!
In through the studio door strolled this magnificent lady with no makeup. Fantastic cheekbones, a hint of sassy in her eyes, and just a gift of making you feel so at ease talking to her. She bubbled over about her Shawn and her Keith. i was immediately thinking of shoot ideas and poses.
We did the first shoot! This is just a sampling. Shooting with them was a dream. A hint of a pose was all they needed to own it and make it their own. I can’t wait to do it again!~~
The immediate assumption when Intimate or Boudoir photography is mentioned that nudity is the real description. It is so not true. While intimate photography can incorporate some nudity a better term for this style fo photography might be “Let;s Play Dress Up”.
In today’s world where we dress more casually it is fun to add a little “sexy” to the mix. It has never been about what you can see. Instead it has always been about what you can only imagine!
