Every couple stands before me waiting, expecting, a little feeling of awkward.  It’s up to me to navigate passed the outer court where all acquaintances visit into that inner place.  That place of vulnerability each of us guards until we trust the visitor.  Some open the gates freely and widely. Others slowly and a little at a time.  Still others padlock the gates and defy you to gain entrance.

This image was toward the end of our shoot.  The shot mechanics were set.  I asked for an almost kiss.  Suddenly they left me behind and only had eyes for each other.  Softly they touched each other and I got to see the couple I will be photographing September 18, 2010.

Oh my goodness! That crooked little boy smile…..no wonder Erin gave her heart to him.

We are going to rock out September 18th.  I don’t know how I got so blessed with incredible gowns this year, but I am freakin’ lovin’ it!   Can’t wait, Erin!

What?  Buy a fabulous creation for your wedding day and never wear it again?   Studio D Photography likes to play dress up.  This time we talked Claudia from Tita’s Linens By Claudia,  her adorably cute hubbie, and the fabulous Latin beauty Elsa into playing dress up with us.

Drew and Kristy are the kind of couple when they walk in you want to stop what you are doing and just sit down with them for a really warm fuzzy funny sharing visit.  I can’t help but smile when I see them coming!

Yesterday I got to meet the rest of the family.  Jack and Ellie.  Jack hanging out of the frame is appropriate for him.  The boy has one speed…….full steam ahead pushing the envelope!

Drew just melts when Kristy speaks, touches him, or she comes into his field of vision.  His sentences just fade away before completion.  His smile gets bigger, and his eyes light up!  Best part is his voice lowers and softens.  It is totally adorable.   AND  I bet he denies it when he reads this.  He’s a little bit shy!!

One of the lines I use during my interview is, “A couple is unique, and they fit together like two pieces of a puzzle.”  Look at Kristy and Drew…….perfect fit!!

Couple three photos for you, but that’s all for today.  It was a double wedding weekend, and doing nothing sounds utterly delicious.  Of course Studio D is being interviewed by a couple for next year later today. I know, I know….. I did say do nothing.

and yours truly all like peanut butter.  We do not need bread……..just peanut butter.   We like Skippy Creamy. We hate chunky, and reduced fat is a NO NO.

Our jars are running low.  “They” say its safe to buy peanut butter in the jar.  Hmmm.  Life is NOT good when one’s peanut butter is threatened.

I’ve done everything but kiss it!  Three weeks without the workhorse computer that everything is done on is a major upset.

It is 6:15pm, and I am headed to find food.  Then this lovely computer and I are about to get organized and start cranking out stuff!!!
